We’ve had a little four-day break in Devon (Ilfracombe and surrounds) in October and family goings on (a christening near Exeter) and, well, just L-I-F-E happening. It’s only 8” x 8”, so I was a bit limited in what I could do, but I’m generally satisfied with the result:    I added some journaling, buttons to the strip down the side of the photo, and a metal key and heart. Not perfect but I think it’s all I’m going to do to this. Hurrah, this time I got a She Art girl that looks like she’s supposed to! Of course, this is a teeny tiny canvas (5” x 7”) and I found it much easier to work on. Lesson learned.     This one has LOTS of texture: modeling paste, paper flowers with button centers, lace trim on her dress, and – although you can’t see it – there are lots of lumps in the grass. I had my photos printed then realized I’d got glue all over two of the photos AFTER the layouts were done! So I had to very carefully peel them off (thank goodness I’d used repositionable Herma) and reprint them.
